Indie Wedding DJ

About Me

Hello, my name is Eddie and I've been DJing functions, clubs, parties, gigs and festivals since 2002, playing with a huge variety of hits spanning the decades of rock and pop. With thousands of tracks to choose from, I'm almost guaranteed to have your request (or a download away from obtaining it). I will have your guests of all ages dancing, from your saucy nan strutting her best jagger impression, your cheeky niece surfing along with the Beach Boys or the best man giving his best air guitar solo to the White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army' whilst you enjoy the best DJ tunes tailored to your taste.

Over the last 14 years I've held residencies in almost every club/venue in Brighton. Here are venues from the last 5 years where I have worked or am still working in…

Currently: White Rabbit, Black Lion, North Laine Brewery, Mesmerist, Hope & Ruin, The Spiegeltent, YOUR Wedding

Former: Sticky Mike's Frog Bar, Green Door Store, Coalition and classic Indie nights at The Pav Tav, Arc / Life & Escape / Audio

As well as working as a club DJ, I've also been booked by concert promoters to play for bands as big as The Killers & Kasabian as well as playing in-between bands on the 4music & main stages at the V Festival in Essex, warming up for the likes of Dizzee Rascal, The Prodigy, Air, Arctic Monkeys, Lady Gaga, MGMT, 2 Many DJs & more…

In addition to this, The V Fest booked me to get the party started and opening their event by DJing to over 15,000 people on their Arena Stage. Over the festive season I've DJ'd at numerous staff parties and functions (which would be impossible to list) and over the summer months I've entertained many a wedding guest.

…and yes, I do bar mitzvahs too.

My Music

In my 18 years of experience I have mastered the art of indie DJing as well as beat mixing various other genres & seamlessly blending it all together for a unique party experience.

I perform with industry standard Pioneer decks (Currently using XDJ-RX2). Upon request I can supply 2 x QSC K2 Speakers and a sub woofer as well as various disco lights and lasers! I can even source Pyrotechnics (Confetti cannons, etc)

If reading about my DJing isn't enough for you… Here's a couple of 45 minute sample mixes to get your toes tapping:

"We had a brilliant time at our wedding and Eddie really made the party. He understood the vibe of the wedding and chose the greatest music for the night, picking out some great indie tracks along with some 60s/soul/hiphop and rock. People to this day still talk about the DJ when they mention the wedding to me and how good the music was. Totally recommended! When you have 100% good music all night everything else will fall into place."

Martin and Rebecca

"We were over the moon with Eddies set! He totally got the flavour of music that we were looking for and had all the guests up and dancing all night. Eddie played a great mix of music from old to new and everyone was catered for. We've used the phrase 'smashed it out the park' more than once since the wedding when talking about the disco! We would definitely recommend him to anyone else we know that gets married and wants an awesome DJ to play the disco!"

Tom and Pat

"Eddie provided a fantastic DJ experience to our wedding reception mixing in our requested songs with an excellent mix of great track choices and made sure that the dance floor was a very happy and busy place that evening from the first song through to the last track of the night."

Toby and Kirsty

"Eddie has been DJing for me at club nights and bar nights for many years now. From 600 capacity venues to more intimate spaces… He knows how to keep folk happy!

"His indie sets are legendary, as are his mixing skills, always hitting the right spot with the right balance of crowd pleasers and alternative anthems that the crowd had forgotten they loved. The floor is always full with smiles all round. Even the most reluctant shufflers will be lured to the dance floor, soon to be seen waving their arms in the air demanding more…

"You don't need 2manyDJs… You need this one to make your party go with a bang!"

Sally Oakenfold - Brighton promoter, venue owner & DJ

"Eddie has run a successful weekly night at the globe for the last 4 years. He's never once let us down and he's also been able to step in on other nights of the week where we've needed a DJ last minute. He's got a massive , eclectic selection of music that he uses to fit the varied clientele that the pub attracts. His interaction with customers is excellent and is always happy to take requests"

Carly Fitzpatrick - Manager of The Globe in Brighton

"We'd like to thank Eddie for all the fantastic tunes that he played at our wedding, he managed to squeeze in all our faves as well as a few we had forgotten about! He even had gran on the dancefloor.

"We would highly recommend him for his ability to cater for all music genres and being very efficient and co-operative with us in the run to our big day"

Mr and Mrs Steven and Andrea Stratton

"We had the best day and it means so much to us that Eddie enjoyed it too. Some of the suppliers we used were absolute dicks so it meant so much to have people like Eddie involved who just got what we wanted and helped make it so much fun."

Heather and Keiran

"We’re not really ‘theme wedding’ people, but we planned our wedding in six weeks and the indie discos of our mis-spent youths kept coming up; thus the Indie Disco wedding was born.

"It was with palpable relief that we found Eddie, having trawled through some terrifying looking ‘wedding DJs’, most of whom looked like they would give Smashy&Nicey a run for their money.

"A quick look at Eddie’s CV and his playlists was enough to convince us we’d struck gold and we weren’t wrong.

"Laid back and calm but ultimately reliable and delivered the goods, we couldn’t have been happier-particularly as we didn’t have the traditional first dance and relied on Eddie to gently coax our guests onto the dance floor.

"Definitely worth the money and highly recommended."

Sarah and Steven

"For our wedding day we were initially going to get a band as we are both into our live music and hadn't really considered a DJ, until I saw Eddie doing a set at the Brighton Fringe, where I was then determined to have him DJ for us! And it was definitely the right decision. Along with Eddie's enthusiastic dance moves, he played songs that were different to the usual wedding cheese fest, yet everybody knew, and the floor was full of dancing, air guitaring, jumping, and even the robot at times... The set was both alternative but unpretentious, playing exactly the right mix of songs from genres and eras that were right for us. He built his set around our personalities, which flowed perfectly despite how "eclectic" our requests were - from 90s hip hop to pop to classic rock. He also took requests from our guests. I actually feel bad that I didn't spend more time talking to guests, as I was dancing the entire time... We found Eddie and his set to be fun, flexible and something different! Perfect for our day and we'd highly recommend."

Charlotte and Luke

"We love Eddie, he is super-dynamic and intuitively just knows what music works, so you can trust him and enjoy the party! He totally nailed our wedding (dance-offs and all) and set the bar pretty high for all the future weddings we attend! Choose Life. Choose The Goatman."

Matt and Charlie

"Eddie created a great atmosphere at our wedding and got everyone up and dancing. The music was enjoyed by everyone from the ageing Aunties to our muso friends. We found people still talking a year later about some of his song choices! He was very professional to deal with and really good fun on the night. Highly recommended!"
